Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to investigate discrete and continuous dynamical systems and to apply methods of dimension reduction and Normal Form simplification to find equilibria and periodic solutions and to determine their stability.

Subject of course

Nontlinear static and dynamic stability problems, application of methods to investigate nonlinear oscillations,  utilization of symmetries.

Teaching methods

Discussion and calculative treatment of model problems.
