Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to investigate continuous and discrete dynamical systems and to find equilibria and periodic solutions and to determine the stability of these solutions.

Subject of course

Nontlinear dynamic stability problems, dimension reduction, Normal Forms, Averaging method, bifurcations with symmetries, transition to chaotic behaviour.
