The introductory course is the first course for prospective students in the field of Industrial Engineering and also represents the greeting at the University.
It provides an overview about the TU, the Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and their research.
A lecture unit to "Technology and Society" brings the skills to be acquired in studies in a larger context. In workshops, students try to solve simple problems themselves.
On 03/10/2016 at 15:00 all first semester students in the field of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering are welcomed.
There, students learn all necessary information to register for courses and about the further process of the introductory course.
Then the student council of Mechanical Engineering holds the first semester tutorial.
Every Wednesday and Thursday the course takes place from 8:00 to 8:45 with units about the structure of the university, "Technology and Society" and presentations of the institutes of the Faculty.
After that the students choose a workshop, where they learn more about a particular field of research.
At the course counts compulsory attendance.
Während des Semesters finden 4 Prüfungen statt, von denen (für einen positiven Abschluss der LVA) min. 3 positiv absolviert werden müssen.
Die Prüfungen starten immer pünklich um 8:00 Uhr und dauern exakt 10 Minuten. Die Prüfungen können nicht wiederholt werden!
