After successful completion of the course, students are able to find their way around the university and to understand the corresponding curriculum. They gain insight into the university structure, faculty structure, study law and also become familiar with the responsibility that technicians have in our society.
On the 2nd of March, 3:00 pm (Audi Max) all first semester students of the Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering will be welcomed.
Here, the students will learn all the information needed to register for courses and will be informed about further lessons of this introductory course.
After the welcome address, the Fachschaft Maschinenbau holds the first semester tutorial.
Every Thursday from 12:00 – 13:45 (Radinger Härsaal) there will be lessons on study law, university structure, technology and society as well as the presentation of individual institutes and research divisions of the faculty.
After the lecture series, the students will choose a workshop in which they will learn more about a research area.
Attendance is compulsory to complete the course.
This course starts with March 2nd in the lecture hall Audi Max (GM 1).
From 3:00 pm till 5:00 pm the students of the study program Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering will be welcomed and informed about the organization of the faculty as well as the structure of the study program.
At 4:30 pm the first semester tutorial (in small groups) of the Fachschaft Maschinenbau starts for students of the study program Mechanical Engineering as well as Industrial Engineering.
During the semester there are 3 examinations, of which (for a positive completion of the LVA) min. 2 must be completed positively.
The exams always start punctually at 12:00 am and last exactly 10 minutes. The exams can not be repeated! The dates of these exams will be announced one week in advance.
