Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the topic of temporary use and vacancy in a more complex way and draw conclusions for planning and/or activist practice. The discussion of current approaches, challenges and dimensions around the topic of vacancy activation enables a solution-oriented classification of the various relevant stakeholders, legal and financial as well as planning framework conditions.

Subject of course

The lecture series sheds light on the topic of vacancy activation in a multi-layered way. In addition to a theoretical and practical classification of current approaches and challenges, organizational forms of collectives as well as national and international examples will be examined and presented.

Teaching methods

The course presents different perspectives on the topic of vacancy activation in various guest lectures. At the same time, the course focuses on discursive elements attached to each lecture.

Visiting individual lectures is possible without registration.
