After successful completion of the course, students are able to independently develop a concept for the exhibition of student work in spatial planning. Students learn competencies of self-organizing project development (communication, decision-making, control, etc.). Furthermore, the focus is on the question of suitable forms of presentation and formats of communication of planning and scientific results. Through an experimental approach, an independent implementation of exhibition concepts will be tested and critically reflected upon across disciplines. As an overarching goal, an examination of the role and relevance of spatial planning and spatial development will be encouraged.
In the context of discipline-expanding approaches, different exhibition formats are discussed and analyzed. Furthermore, procedures of self-organizing project development will be elaborated. With the choice of an exhibition motto, the examination of spatially relevant topics and their dissemination is stimulated. Connected to this is the question of which structures have to be created so that the format of a spatial exhibition can take place regularly. Finally, in the course of the LVA, the exhibition itself will be implemented and supervised at the beginning.
Research, textual analysis, conceptual and curatorial methods.
The course is largely organized by the students themselves. They therefore decide for themselves how to achieve the desired result. Here, the students take on the responsibility as a group to plan and implement an exhibition. This includes: the type of cooperation, the decision-making process, the coordination of deadlines, the methods used, etc. They have a great deal of creative freedom. They have a great deal of creative freedom at their disposal. The students are supported by the teachers with scientific-artistic guidance, both in terms of content and organization. The student council acts as a bridge to the student body, provides equipment for the exhibition and offers an exchange of experiences from previous years.
