After successful completion of the course, students are able to.reflect on different curatorial concepts for the mediation and exhibiition of climate-relevant topics and to examine and select different mediation formats for their suitability for different target groups (especially students and their teachers). In doing so, they learn to develop an exhibition format and to make topics of climate protection in spatial planning and architecture tangible. They acquire knowledge about the necessary process steps for the organization of exhibitions with accompanying programs (guided tours, excursions, workshops, lectures...). They will gain experience in the field of cooperation and communication with cultural and educational institutions.
The course deals with the curation of an exhibition at the intersection of Arts, Science and Education. Climate-relevant topics are to be prepared and made accessible in a stimulating way for students aged 12-14 years. In addition to the exhibition concept and its stations and elements, the accompanying program in the form of guided tours, excursions, workshops and lectures will be developed cross-faculty by diferent courses. The aim is always a playful, experimental examination of the framework theme, as well as points of contact for the individual further development of educational work in the participating schools. The exhibition, including the accompanying program, is conceived as a growing exhibition designed to last 5 years. It is the prelude to an interfaculty networking and the establishment of a Science, Arts and Education - focus at the TU Vienna.
