After successful completion of the course, students are able to develop a spatial analysis based on impressions collected on site. They are able to develop a concept basis for the design course of the down town of of the municipality of Bruck an der Leitha (Lower Austria).
The course serves the analysis on site in order to develop a vision in form of a design concept/ a strategy for the down town of Bruck an der Leitha. The course is offered as a supplement to UE 280.601 Design Studio - Reimagining rural downtowns – Bruck an der Leitha. The course focuses on the interdisciplinary analysis and development of designs by students of spatial planning and architecture.
On Site Analyses: Interviews and local Stakeholder communication, visual analysis of the main square and surroundings, theses testing
The course is offered only in combination with UE 280.601 Design Studio - Reimagining rural downtowns – Bruck an der Leitha.
Students of spatial planning can fulfil compulsory module 3 (Master's Project - Spatial Planning) with UE 280.601 + EX 280.A04.
Architecture students can use the excursion as elective courses.
Registration takes place during the kick-off of UE280.601.
