After successful completion of the course, students are able to collect qualitative and quantitative data of mobility research on the basis of a formulated scientific interest in knowledge using different survey designs- to collect data with different survey designs,- to evaluate the plausibility of the data using statistical methods,- interpret and- present the data using visualization techniques.
Topics of the course are- Survey designs with their advantages and disadvantages from practice (Austria on the road, mobility surveys in municipalities and cities)- survey contents of mobility research- specific methods like smartphone-based mobility surveys- data storytelling
- discussion of case studies- own realization of surveys- conception of questionnaires- evaluation, presentation and interpretation of mobility data
Due to the current situation, the first VO units will take place online (further information on this will be provided at the kick-off).
