After successful completion of the course, students are able to identify challenges and framework conditions, forces and actors as well as methods and instruments of spatial development planning. By analyzing different concepts, planning processes and good practice examples within different spatial situations as well as from the point of view of different professional perspectives, students are enabled to discuss spatial development concepts and to critically question them.
Application-oriented examination of theories, tools, instruments and processes of spatial development planning using the example of a municipality, a district or a (city-)region.
Analysis, preparation and discussion of theories, tools, instruments and processes of spatial development planning at different spatial scales.
Independent development of essays, preparation of presentations and writing of seminar papers in small groups. Attendance and active participation at the appointments.
Enrollment is conducted through an overall registration (course 280.793).
Participants will automatically be assigned to the TISS couse after expiry of the overall registration.
