Diese Vorlesung beschäftigt sich mit dem Kontext von Entwicklungstheorien und gibt einen Überblick über die institutionellen Landschaft, Fakten und Schlüsselthemen der internationalen Kooperation. Außerdem werden, durch aktuelle Projektbeispiele in Afrika, die Potentiale und Grenzen der regionalen Entwicklungsarbeit im globalen Süden aufgezeigt.
Konkrete Entwicklungsprojekte in Ost-Afrika sowie aktuelle Themen wie Resilienz, Migration und der Klimawandel werden vorgestellt und diskutiert.
Methoden und Instrumente der Projektplanung und -überwachung, wie Projektzyklusmanagment / Longframe-Ansatz / Managment der Zusammearbeit werden präsentiert und angewandt.
Ein interaktives Rollenspiel, welches eine partizipative Projektplanungssitzung in Äthopien simuliert, wird die Auswirkungen kultureller Rahmenbedingungen und den Interessenkonflikt bei partizipativen Planungsprozessen aufzeigen.
