After successful completion of the course, students are able to...
... analyse public transport lines on the basis of the calculation of important parameters, to develop concrete measures for the improvement of the situation and to argue these on the basis of calculations/graphics/sketches in a comprehensible way.... analyse the development network of a residential area, thetraffic volume and to determine the performance of an associated point of entry into a higher-level street.... analyse street spaces in a problem-related way, then to develop a draft for the redesign of the street space - applying relevant traffic regulations and taking into account the traffic, social and design requirements of the public space - in the group and to argue this graphically and rhetorically.
Calculation of important parameters for the assessment of public transport lines, dimensioning of public transport systems, public transport optimisation on the basis of concrete examplesDevelopment network, traffic generation, performance calculationsRoad design: usage requirements, design elements, traffic law and technical framework conditions
Input lectures / clips and discussion of the contents in plenum, independent written elaboration of tasks / draft work (group work: task C), correction dates to accompany the independent elaboration of the exercise tasks and to accompany the learning progress, oral presentation / argumentation of the elaborated exercise tasks (oral examination interview: tasks A and B; presentation of road design: task C).
Presence at units and correction dates is strongly recommended!
