... reflect critically on the role of informal practices in urban development and to relate the gained knowledge with the other courses of Module 1.

Focus is on the following questions:

- what are difference between informal and formal practices of urban development?

- what are differences between top-downd und bottop-up procedures in urban development?

- how is it possible to integrate informal practices into the formal planning system?

critical reflection on inputs of the lecture part and critical reflection of texts provided for the lecture part

inquiry of case studies and presentation in the practice part

Students who have completed the mandatory courses of Module 1 or who are currently want to complete them will be prioritized.
