After successful completion of the course, students are able to explain the functioning of economic law and environmental law in relation to spatial planning. They achieve knowledge of the basic principles of these fields of law and how they are embedded in international, European, constitutional and other domestic law. They understand the impact of law on the constitution of society, especially on spatial planning.
Terminology and functioning of economic and environmental law; fundamental economic rights - in particular the right of property; international environmental law; free movement rights of the internal market; laws governing the professions; building law and plant permits law; constitutional environment law; international and European environmental law, emission trade certificate system; environmental impact assessments; overview on other for the spatial planning relevant environment law
The subject matter is conveyed through case studies, research texts and in the media discussed legal issues and problems. Students participate in group works and discussions; some matters could be presented by students themselves
The completion of the lecture Basics of law for spatial planning is of advantage but not obligatory.
Active participation in the lecture (30%, this partial performance is not repeatable), presentations (25%, this partial performance is not repeatable) , group work on the 10th of December 2024 (this partial performance is not repeatable) and final exam (35%, this partial performance is not repeatable).
