... on the example of rivers and valleys ...
This course is part of the elective module 4 ("Cooperation Region - Services of general interest").
The subject of the elective module is the in-depth examination of river spaces and river regions. They connect and separate at the same time, can be used easily or poorly, are natural or shaped, dynamic or dammed up, accessible or closed off, touristic or untouched. The corresponding spatial, social as well as structural and planning conditions, the specific current (and historical) use interests and conflicts on and along rivers are analyzed. Based on the individual research, which will be complemented by specialist input from experts and political decision-makers, strategies and visions for the future development of specific rivers will be developed. The resulting diverse picture of visions and strategies is aimed at a large circle of stakeholders and is intended to raise awareness for a more conscious and careful use of rivers.
It is recommended to take the course in combination with EX 280.810 ("Regional Co-operation - Services of general interest") as part of elective module 4.
In the registration process, preference will be given to those students who take the elective module in combination with the bachelor seminar 280.965 ("Bachelor thesis - daSein proposals for services of general interest in rural areas").
