After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the technical and subject-specific conditions necessary to address questions of spatial planning and development as well as design projects in the context of the technical and social infrastructures discussed in the course and to take these into account at the scale level of urban development and planning designs.
The course will discuss selected aspects of technical infrastructure, such as
-water supply-effluent disposal-waste disposal-installations to protect against natural hazards and-energy supply installations
as well as the topics
-energy and settlement structure-energy at the individual building level-and costs of selected infrastructure installations
and elucidate the key aspects and subject areas of spatial and infrastructural development.
Lectures on relevant topics and discussion of practical examples
Written examination, 12 questions covering the entire subject-matter.
