After successful completion of the course, students are able to critically classify different qualitative and quantitative empirical methods and name their fields of application. Students can independently compare different survey and evaluation techniques and have knowledge of methods in theory and practice.
We discuss different empirical methods relevant to planning processes. Specific conditions and effects of research methods are addressed, with a focus on qualitative methods, their approach and implementation.
