After successful completion of the course, students are able to...

• explain the political system of the selected country
• to expolain the geographical and natural conditions
• to reflect the history and development of the country
• outline the planning system and the responsibilities within the administrative system
• explain in-depth topics and planning challenges of the regions visited

Attention: the actual field trip will take place in the second half of September. Due to COVID the trip is not guaranteed.

The knowledge of the political, economic and natural conditions as well as the planning instruments and administrative framework in the chosen country will be developed and deepened. Selected topics of spatial planning will be elaborated in discourse, deepened during the excursion and finally summarised in a publication.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation the destination country will be defined later because travel restrictions as well as possible quarantines must be considered and avoided. This also means that parts of the efforts of the students will required during the months of July and August (e.g. discussions etc.).
