After successful completion of the course, students are able to...
... design a shared mobility offer.
The implementation of a shared mobility offer on a small scale includes all essential aspects that are also found in large sharing fleets. Thus, the implementation of cargo bike sharing at the Institute of Spatial Planning is a suitable example of application to understand essential elements of mobility sharing. After positive completion of the course the participants have acquired knowledge about essential elements of sharing offers and understand their interaction. An essential aspect is the discussion of legal questions and the development of terms of use. Participants gain practical experience in setting up a sharing offer, using the example of load-bike sharing, and can apply this knowledge to other areas of shared mobility (e.g. car sharing, bike sharing).
Plan with us cargo bike sharing for the Institute of Spatial Planning!During the course, we will design and prepare the implementation of an internal institute offer for cargo bike sharing.Inputs to the course include an overview of cargo bike sharing, experiences and insights from the Viennese examples of the SeestadtFLOTTE and Grätzlrad and legal questions in connection with bicycle rental. The participants then independently develop a list of requirements for cargo bike sharing, develop a concept and prepare its implementation. This includes selecting a location, determining the rental modalities, selecting a suitable type of cargo bike or drafting terms of use.
