to know the issues surrounding gender planning and to reflect on the current situation in the different federal states.to conduct independent, topic-specific research and to analyse and evaluate the facts of the case using jointly developed criteria. to plan and conduct expert surveys and interviews in terms of content and organisation.to have an overview on the subject of gender planning and to incorporate it into their own work.
Gender planning takes into account different demands and interests in the everyday life of different user groups at all planning levels and improves quality awareness in planning processes.
The current situation of gender planning in rural regions of Austria is to be examined across studies in spatial planning and architecture.Existing gender planning approaches and projects (strategies, plans, concepts, ...) should be surveyed. This is to take place on several planning levels of spatial planning/regional planning/urban planning (political public processes, urban development) as well as urban development/architecture (design, structural spatial design).- Country- Region- Community- Quarter- Building siteStudents are required to identify fields of intervention. Approaches and projects should be researched. Results are to be documented and visualised in a structured way.
- The students work as a "peer group" which supports and advises each other in the development of criteria and the research and documentation of the topic.- The seminar enables the students to work in a largely self-organised, interactive and practice-oriented way.- Creative development, visualisation and research through desk research and surveys/interviews. - The results are prepared for a website.
This course will be held across all studies in spatial planning and architecture to achieve awareness and understanding of all relevant scale levels and interrelations in planning. The course is suitable for bachelor and master students in the higher semesters in spatial planning and architecture studies.
