Nach positiver Absolvierung der Lehrveranstaltung sind Studierende in der Lage einen aktuellen strategischen Zugang zu nachhaltiger Stadtentwicklung im Detail zu erklären, Kernkonzepte nachhaltiger Stadtentwicklung zu diskutieren un sich an zetgeäßen Debatten rund um nachhaltige Transformationsprozesse zu beteiligen.

This VU consists of 7 sessions. Session 1 is about the introduction and organization of the events and sessions. Session 2 is an excursion. Session 3 is an event visiting: students choose an online Event to visit. Sessions 4, 5, and 6 include peer teaching sessions on theoretical concepts. In session 7, groups present their final results. The group project is carried out in small groups (3 persons) and combines the analysis of contemporary concepts that address urban sustainable development challenges (such as 2000-watt society, resilient cities, and smart cities) with practical examples. Additionally, students visit thematically relevant events and reflect on them in relation to the course.

Die Beurteilung setzt sich zusammen aus:

• eigenständiges Leistung (30%)
  • Vorbereitung und aktive Teilnahme an den Einheiten
  • 1 Veranstaltungsdokumentation/-bericht (1.500 Wörter)
• Gruppenarbeit(70%)
• Peer teaching (Einheiten 4, 5, & 6): Halten einer eigenen Einheit und Vorbereitung von Aufgabenstellungen für die Einheit der KollgeInnen
• Wahrnehmen eines Gruppenbetreuungstermins (Vorbereitung)
• Endpräsentation der Gruppenarbeit (Einheit 7)
• Seminararbeit (5.000-6.000 Wörter) bestehend aus einem theoretischen (Konzept) und empirischen (Praxisbeispiele) Teil

This VU course is a replacement of the course 280.596 which was canceled in the 2020 summer semester due to Covid-19. Students who have finished the SE (280.593) in the 2020 summer semester will thus be accepted first.
