After successful completion of the course, students are able to...

• explain the political system of Latvia and Lithuania
• to expolain the geographical and natural conditions
• to reflect the history and development of the two states
• outline the planning system and the responsibilities within the administrative system
• explain in-depth topics and planning challenges of the regions visited

Attention: the actual field trip will take place at the end of September (27.9. - 4.10.)

The knowledge of the political, economic and natural conditions as well as the planning instruments and administrative framework in the Baltic States Latvia and Lithuania should be developed and deepened. Selected topics of spatial planning will be elaborated in discourse, deepened during the excursion to the two states and finally summarised in a publication.
