Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to...

  • to test and reflect on methods from the Design Thinking Method Set and participation
  • Stories to collect, write and visualize cycling in Graz via storytelling. With special focus on digital storytelling.
  • to collect and visualize data about cycling in Graz
  • to use different media adequately, to produce results

Subject of course

This course focuses on the method of storytelling and how it can be implemented in planning processes AND how planners become storytellers.
Cycling is the topic. Graz is the space. The result is digital and public. The Mobility Lab Graz a cooperation partner. The Fifteen Seconds Festival a space where we celebrate and show our results. http://mobility-lab.at/

We, as a team, set goals together at the beginning of the course and define the way to get there. This means that the path to these goals is only roughly mapped out by the teaching team. That is why only the kick-off date is fixed: Together we determine the remaining dates/excursions and work spaces (blocks), because it is important that everyone has time.

We are a team - and reach our goal together =)
"STAY CURIOUS AND THE FUTURE IS YOURS" - is the slogan of the Fifteen Seconds Festival, which we will visit together in June. At the same time this date is our Finishline - there our product is ready!

Rough frame:
March: Kick-off + Design Thinking Workshop (goal and definition of methods) + detailed plan for the use of methods + visit to Mobility Lab partners
March/April: Excursion: method application in Graz / story and data collection
April + May + June: Production of the final product (possibly another excursion to Graz for collecting and testing)
4 - 5 June: Field trip: Fifteen Seconds Festival

***Please note that the exact dates will be determined first! With you! Since there are few dates for everyone, it is important that all of you are there too!
