Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to comprehend a range of social science perspectives and concepts on migration, housing and urban neighbourhoods.

 

Students can apply these concepts to read and interpret urban situations. 

 

Subject of course

The seminar brings urban and social theory and empirical observations together to look at intersections of housing, local community life, migration and diversity. In addition to reading and discussion, case study sites will be visited.
