After successful completion of the course, students are able to
be informed about the relational and active character of (educational) infrastructures in change as well as they are able to identify architectural and planning tasks herein;
understand the sociopolitical and everyday life pertinence of systematization and classification within architectural and planning tasks;
recognize through the opening of knowledge forms the valorization of non-scientific knowledge as both a challenge and chance for democracy;
design an original inter- and transdiciplinary approach towards architecture and planning within the knowledge triangle of education, research and innovation;
realize and scientifically reflect on participative and collaborative learn and research settings in the field of libraries;
In OPENknowledge we approach the complexity of joint, participatory action in the educational space of the city in an experimental and reflective way and work on aspects of social change from the perspective of spatial planning and architecture.The aim of this course is to get to know the socio-political and conceptual contexts of "communal educational landscapes" in depth and to be able to link these with participatory, collaborative research with a viewpoint of selected innovation theories and approaches of Science and Technology Studies. Selected concepts of "municipal educational landscapes" will be presented and alysed in their historical development and under the circumstances of social developmentAgainst the background of "communal educational landscapes", the course aims to deepen the fundamental principles of inter- or transdisciplinary and application-oriented research in architecture and spatial planning. The students wil be able to develop an understanding of the diversity of scientific paradigms and innovations as well as the complexity of application-oriented learning processes in architecture and spatial planning. One focus of the course is on current transformation potentials in the context of university libraries. Development processes associated with this are critically discussed in terms of their social scope and significance for architecture and spatial planning.In the concept module "Bildungsraum Stadt" the LVA offers the students a research-oriented accompaniment to the practical seminar as well as the further courses.
Potentials and limits of "educational landscapes" will be approached and presented through research tasks, discussions and written reflections based on empirical informed team work.
