After successful completion of the course, students are able to explain and reflect on basic curatorial concepts and to test and select different mediation formats for their suitability for different study projects. The exhibition concept is developed in the discourse and works that have arisen during the course of study are collected, viewed and clustered for the exhibition. A supporting program is to be held parallel to the exhibition, which must be organized. In addition to the substantive work, the exhibition should also be designed, organized, produced and ultimately built. Ultimately, a corresponding process documentation for the exhibition is created.
Following the successful opening exhibition "dieRaum19", which put the spotlight on student research projects from the study programme Spatial Planning and Regional Development, this project (Master's) / elective module (Bachelor's) will continue to deal with curating spatial planning content of previous years. An important factor this year is the parallel activities to the 50th anniversary of the spatial planning celebrations. "Making an exhibition" is a broad-based course that accompanies students from the creation of a curatorial concept to the design for "die Raum20" (working title). At the beginning, a concept is to be developed with the help of various reference events or exhibitions. The curatorial concept, the viewing, collecting and selection of student works will be incorporated into the spatial and graphic implementation. A supporting programme can be developed and held to celebrate 50 years of spatial planning. Further inputs and expert actors can also be included.
