After successful completion of the course, students are able to display room sequences. They are sensitized for spatial perception and the recognition of room markings. They are also able to work out a reduction on room-marking elements.

In modification to the global artmovement, the reproduction of locations and scenes, the TU-course „Urban Sketching“ should give you a sensitization for perception of space and  identification of spacemarks, reduction to essential spacemarks. Freehand drawing, sketches on the location should show simple sequences of space.

Sketches on site (freehand drawings) shall be used to illustrate sequences of rooms. In this way, feelings and moods triggered by places and spaces are to be captured by means of simple sketches.

Material:

As material is a simple sketch-block size A3 and pencil (No. HB, 2B) adequate. If you want you also can use coloured pencil, marker, pens, ball-pens, …!

Änderungen in der LVA aufgrund der Corona-Pandemie  (Stand 04.05.2020):

As classroom teaching will not be possible at TU Wien until the end of the summer semester 2020 the lecture will be held in July or August.

As „Fingerexercises“ until the course realy starts you can practice in drawing for example at your own flat, the surroundings of your flat, the view out of the window and so on!
