OPENtransformation is designed as an experimental, reflexive, collaborative and participatory approach to the complexity of educational space within the city, where we are working on aspects of social change from the perspective of spatial planning and architecture.
The aim of this applied lecture is to deepen knowledge upon the socio-political and conceptual connections of "communal educational landscapes" and approaches of transformative sciences and participative research.
Against the background of "communal educational landscapes", OPENtransformation will put it’s hand on the foundations of inter- and transdisciplinarity and applied research in architecture and spatial planning. Students should be able to develop an understanding of the diversity of scientific paradigms and innovation as well as an idea of applied learning processes in architecture and planning.
In the concept module "Bildungsraum Stadt", the applied lecture offers students research-oriented support for practical seminars and associated courses.
Konzeptmodul “Bildungsraum Stadt” / Sondermodul “Bildungslandschaften in Bewegung”, TU Wien
Die Lehrveranstaltung ist Teil des Konzeptmoduls "Bildungsraum Stadt [4]" (Mastercurriculum Raumplanung, 6.0 EC) sowie Teil des Sondermoduls "Bildungslandschaften in Bewegung" (Mastercurriculum Architektur, 11.5 EC bzw. 15.0 EC), welches auch Raumplanungsstudierende belegen können. Studierende, die ein gesamtes Modul belegen, haben in den jeweils zugehörigen Lehrveranstaltungen Vorrang.
Zudem werden weitere Lehrveranstaltungen als freie Kombinationsfächer angeboten.
Nordbahn-Halle, F&E-Projekt „Mischung: Nordbahnhof“
Die Nordbahn-Halle wird im Rahmen des Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekts „Mischung: Possible! Impulse für eine nachhaltige Nutzungsmischung im Stadtentwicklungsgebiet Nordbahnhof Wien“ (Kurztitel: Mischung: Nordbahnhof) entwickelt und betrieben.
Das Bildungsgrätzl "Ebner-Inklusiv-Eschenbach" ist das erste Bildungsgrätzl, das öffentliche Pflichtschulen, Bundesschulen, Schulen für Kinder mit Behinderungen, Kindergärten, Sportvereine und Privatschulen umfasst.
