After successful completion of the course, students are able to independently answer critical questions and discussions about their dissertation and, by choosing appropriate methods, scientifically validate the findings.
Besides specific assistance, the teaching content is above all the exact discussion of the scientific quality criteria for quantitative and qualitative research applied to the concrete topic of the dissertation. For quantitative research this is validity, reliability and objectivity. There are no standardized quality criteria for qualitative research. However, 3 quality criteria are discussed: Transparency, intersubjectivity and scope.
