Examination modalities

  • Participation at the kick-off in March 2020 and at the closing event in June 2020
  • Analysis of 3 or 6 scientific articles on spatial planning/urban development, preferably from the programme of the REAL CORP 2020 conference (available online)
  • welcome, but not mandatory: participation in the international conference REAL CORP 2020, RWTH Aachen, 15-18 April 2020

Discussion "paper review"

Review of 3 (when attending the conference REAL CORP 2020) or 6 online available scientific articles on spatial planning/urban development (incl. "related disciplines"), preferably from the programme of the conference REAL CORP 2020, all of which are available online via www.corp.at; contributions from other conferences are also possible

  • 2-3 pages of analysis per article, what is particularly interesting, what is unclear, and why an article is particularly good or not particularly good; whether the topic is relevant, whether the article is comprehensible, clearly structured, helpful for further activities
  • Overview of the selected articles: How would you cite the respective articles if you were writing a scientific contribution yourself? Indication of author(s), title of the article, published where/when (publisher; ISBN-No.; possibly additional information (Open ...)), link to the online version
  • Reasons why these articles were chosen: interesting from a professional point of view; links to own areas of interest or topics that are currently being worked on; title sounds exciting; author(s) known (personally or as recognized experts); spatial reference; "familiar/exotic" (constructive criticism is very welcome, but the articles should not be "slated")
