The seminar focuses on current challenges facing rural areas in times of globalisation, EU enlargement and the intense use made of EU structural funding. Based on visits, lectures and input papers by practitioners, the course will present and discuss changing functions in rural areas, instruments and strategies for its development and selected funding programmes.

Teilnahme an der 3-tägigen Exkursion (Gruppe A: Montag, 28.9.2020 bis Mittwoch, 30.9., bzw. Gruppe B: Mittwoch, 30.9. bis Freitag, 2.10.) in eine ländliche Region (Innviertel) sowie Verfassen eines Seminarberichtes zu einem ausgewählten Thema.
