Aims of the seminar are

• the practise-orientated and critical classification of thories of social inequalities both from the periods of its establishment and the recent relevance
• meaning of these theories for the unequal patterns of spatial use (f.e. housing sites and use of public space) and
• aritical understanding of the impact of socio-spatial patterning for integration processes.

After an overview, the students are working alone or in small groups as well as in plenary session on a example on theories of social inequalities - description, critical classification, meaning for segregation/ concentration patterns and necessities for and possibilitis of impacting the socio-spatial patterns in favour of an improves integration of the society.
