  • independently develop simple spatial analyses in different layers, based on the basics developed in the course, in a report format including cartographic representations,
  • develop scenarios or visions for an area as a basis for future development and for achieving the necessary goals and measures,
  • graphically present concepts (posters) and present them.

Subject of course

What does the future of business and work in the Vienna-Lower Austria urban region look like? What spatial requirements will arise in the future from the demand to be able to operate and work resiliently, which means, among other things, with or without remote work and distance learning/working? To this end, we jointly develop scenarios, visions of the future and business models. We explore and understand the perspectives of entrepreneurs, employees, people with paid and unpaid work and stakeholders in politics, business and civil society. The course is held in cooperation with the StadtUmlandManagement Wien Niederösterreich (SUM) and the Danube University Krems. The results will be presented at the SUM conference on 2 December 2020.
