Throughout their professional lives graduates of the field of Local Area Planning will also have to check, modify and redevelop local development concepts and zoning plans. The required overall view and know-how is to be provided within the exercise Project II.

Imparting the full scope of municipal planning work and understanding the overall approach of development planning is the objective of Project 2. By working out a local development concept and the resulting zoning plan for a concrete project municipality the students are to be acquainted with the implementation of required approaches for solutions by means of a comprehensive problem analysis formulating clusters of objectives. A practice-oriented simulation of new planning situations and the repeated presentation of planning steps by the students are also covered.
