After successful completion of the course, students are able to recognize, understand, analyze and describe challenges and topics of municipal development planning. They will have a basic knowledge of planning tools and process design in municipal development planning.
The lecture series explores contemporary challenges and issues of local authority development planning. Based on concrete examples taken from planning practice, the course aims to sharpen students' awareness of the challenges involved and equip them with a basic knowledge of both classical and newer planning instruments and process design.

Written examination - individual work: 6 questions on the entire subject area of the lecture; the 3rd repetitions has to be completed in the form of an oral examination. Project work – group work: the report must be submitted digitally by Monday, 10 February 2020 to: linzer@ifoer.tuwien.ac.at, voigt@ifoer.tuwien.ac.at and kerstin.pluch@tuwien.ac.at
A positive certificate will be issued after a student has passed the written examination and successfully completed the project work.
To pass, students must reach more than 50% of the points available.
