After successful completion of the course, students are able to apply methods and indicators of spatial analysis for describing, explaning and modelling spatial structures and developments in a way that the results can be used in a planning process.

• Problem-oriented application of analytical methods in the planning process
• Indicators of spatial structures and developments
• Analysis of spatial networks, accessibilities and interactions
• Modelling of spatial development and spatial interaction
• Simulation of spatial planning instruments and projects

In oral lectures the different methods of spatial analysis are explained (also with practical examples) and discussed with regard to their applicability in practice. Based on these inputs, the students apply these methods with given data and integrate all results in a written report.

Die Vorbesprechung mit Erläuterung der Inhalte der LVA und den organisatorischen Details findet online am 07.10.2020 statt. Die Vortragsteile mit den Aufgabenstellungen sind ab den Vorlesungsterminen bis zum Semesterende als Videos über TUpeerTube verfügbar. Die Betreuung zu den Aufgabenstellungen findet an den Übungsterminen entweder vor Ort (Seminarraum Karlsgasse 11 / Archlab: PC7) oder online statt.
