The study group "post carbon planning" deals with the world behind petroleum and focuses on renewable energy in Europe and Austria in the winterterm 2010. On the basis regions the potentials of the different renewable energy sources will be discussed and proven due to their practicability and impacts on regional economy, mobility and settlements will be discussed. The up to date discussion on energy self-sufficient regions and concepts (e.g. e-mobility, Energy Performance Certificate for Settlements, Klimafonds) are a starting point to deal with this topic.
Aim of the study group is to impart knowledge on renewable energies as well as to proof their possibilities for implementation. The participants will be sensibilised for upcoming planning challenges on different levels (primarily europe and austria).
