Aim of course
Awareness of urban planning aspects in project development; competence in formulating and urban planning interpretation of planning scope for projects, in estimating urban effects of projects and accompanying project developments with urban spatial-based simulation techniques; dialogue-capability with building and implementation-related technical disciplines.
Subject of course
Urban aspects of project development particularly affect the project qualities of urban design, urban ecology, urban energy and spatial economy, which arise from the dialogue between townscape and building, their specific contribution to the urban space, from the use of space and from the perception of space. The entire design and utilization process of the city, as real estate , forms the background of the discussion of urban spatial aspects in project development. This is set against the tense relationship between formulation, legal implementation and constructional-spatial interpretation of the scope available for design and room for manoeuvre in terms of planning. In this context the city or building volume can be called a key term, whilst the design of the city space, in particular the public space, can be called the goal. The experimental analysis with urban-spatial aspects of project development is carried out using specific, practical planning examples.
