Aim of course

Due to the growing limitation of public budgets, technical and economical optimisations gain importance for the implementation of water management projects. This lecture presents a praxis-oriented view to strategies for the improvement of economic efficiency regarding design and realisation of water management projects.

Subject of course

New organisation forms and alternative financing models are presented besides planning and controlling methods, as well as incentives for the mobilisation of cost reducing potentials. Further topics are benchmarking, the definition of quality standards regarding the reduction of investment costs with simultaneous optimisation of the operation costs, the evaluation of variant models.
