Aim of course

Project management is not a key qualification of the Top management, project management belonges to the standard training of each project worker. After the graduation of this lecture the students should be able to act as a project manager in small projects and should be able to apply professional project management methods.

Subject of course

In the lecture following contents are treated theoretically and on the basis of examples: 1. Introduction to the Project Management 1.1 Projects and Project Management 1.2 Project Types 1.3 Project Management Processes 2. Methods of the Project Start 2.1 Project Planning: Project Goals, Objects of Consideration of Projects, Work Breakdown Structure, Project Milestone List, Project Ressources, Project Cost Plan 2.2 Project Context Analysis 2.3 Design of the Project Organisation: Project Organisation Forms, Project Roles, Project Culture 3. Methods of the Project Coordination 4. Methods of the Project Controlling 4.1 Project Progress Report 4.2 Earned Value Analysis 5. Methods of the Project Close-down The lecture is oriented to the systemic project management approach of the IPMA (International Project Management Association) guidelines.
