Dealing with legal spatial regulations in other countries is supposed to clarify the internationality of planning problems and the attempts to their solutions as well as to stimulate a broader outlook over federal and national boundaries. Spatial planning is to be understood as an international topic and should be compared with the know-how of international planning systems vs. Austrian regulations.
The lecturer will compare the spatial planning systems of the member states of the EU and introduce basic characteristics of the individual regulations of the countries and chosed specialities, which will be compared with the specific regulations of the Austrian states. Basic legal planning conditions, such as constitutional law and federal law, will be focused on especially as well as their practical use. The first part will deal with basics of the planning system of the states as well as corresponding planning law. In the second part students will choose a country of their special interest and study its basic legal planning conditions and practical effects in more depth. The results will be written in a report and in conclusion be presented and discussed.
Lehrveranstaltung für das Modul 5 (Europäische Regionalentwicklung) der Studienrichtung Raumplanung und Raumordnung; wird im 2-Jahresrythmus abgehalten; entsprechend der Lehrveranstaltungsform einer Arbeitsgruppe wird eine wesentlicher Beitrag von den Studierenden erwartet, die ein Planungssystem (und die planungsrechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen) eines ausgewählten Landes behandeln.
