MAPPING the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds in Nuremberg
This step-by-step approach is offered in conjunction with the excursion to themes and places of contemporary art.
The two LVAs are offered as cooperation with the National University Lviv Polytechnic / Ukraine.ATTENTION: The excursion leads to Nuremberg/Germany.Period: planned 2nd half September 2020
We will deal with the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds in Nuremberg in drawings on several levels and across various scales, using the technique of zooming:- We will start with actor-related mappings that show actor paths as part of macro-networks and depict selected buildings and areas as nodes of the contemporary use of the Nazi party rally grounds. The basis for this are encounters and discussions with people on site.- In a further step, we will delve deeper into the architectural form, dealing with the spatial and structural features, especially with the help of sectional drawings. In doing so, we analyse the significance of the architectures as social nodes of encounter and interaction.- At the end of the process, large-format and hand-drawn assemblages are created, which illustrate the ambiguity and complexity, as well as immaterial aspects such as past / future, original design ideas, economic and global connections of the site.
