After successful completion of the course, students are able to visualize and sketch spacial situations in different perspectives, model them in 3D, animate them and finally atractively present them
The artistic aspect is essential in the creation of the projects.
The course will give an introduction to the visualization of spaces in architecture. Beginning with a showcase of best practice examples goals will be set for further elaboration of individual projects during the class.
In a next step an artistic storyboard will be created as a guideline for the rest of the class; based on the established room sequences, compositions and camera angles some of the rooms will be recreated in 3D with Blender. The modeled spaces will be rendered and animated and further on pushed to a presentational level in Photoshop and layouted in Indesign.
The final project will include sketches, finished drawings and 3d Renderings: in conclusion a ficticious "walkthrough" through the project is created.
Sketches and studies with pencil/pen (HB, B, 2B, 4B) on paper (A3/A4)
Blender is an open source program and free to download.
The images created during the class will be reworked in Photoshop and layouted in Indesign.
The class will be blocked.
A project will be elaborated during the class/at home and will be turned in as an attractive spatial storyboard/archtiecture comic.
