In the lecture part the fundamentals and current strategies for the acquisition of information, their graphic processing and subsequently their editing for the presentation of information are discussed and shown. Questions are: How do I present different datasets? How do I interpret certain information compared to others? What conclusions can be drawn?
The aim of the course is the teaching of skills for graphic data processing and information visualization. It works on the intersection of images, text and numbers to make data sets and statistical analyzes available as information.
Coupled with the semester topic of the module, smaller statistical and graphical data visualization tasks are processed in the course, which serve as the basis for the final information graphics. Completing the semester is a group presentation of the rendered diagrams, data maps and information graphics.
