Photographic and videographic techniques are basal means of reality-exploration with prestructuring effect on the design and presentation dimension. This lecture provides historical and actual research strategies with the digital visual media in architecture and urban context.

Teaching examples of street photography, architectural photography, conceptual photography, object photography, workers and industrial photography and analysis of structural, documentary, serial, situationist, postmodern and other display and presentation methods in the context of architecture.

Ausgangspunkt der Lehrveranstaltung werden die fotografischen Bildrealitäten der Außenmedien sein. Der scheinbar objektive Blick der Produkt- und Landschaftsfotografen offenbart auch die Möglichkeiten der digitalen Bildmanipulation. Jene werden entlarvt und analysiert und mit den Mitteln der Foto- und Videomontage dekonstruiert.
