Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to master the basics of graphic design and visual communication. Particular attention is paid to the aspects at the interface between architecture, art and graphics.

Subject of course

Some topics that arise from the fusion of spatial and two-dimensional design are the Signaletik of buildings, the Corporate architecture, the design of digital and interactive communication tools. Aspects of the mediation of ideas are discussed by branding and cross-media communicationplanning.

Teaching methods

Lectures and practical exercises are intertwined in such a way that a gradual development of the tasks is forced. Several interdisciplinary feedback rounds will take place in the semester, making it possible to coordinate the results in the various areas of design and topic development. At the end of the semester, the skills you have learned flow into a comprehensive project in which most of the current media techniques are used.
