After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand and Apple frequently used building materials and constructions of landscaping or landscape architecture.
They can work on landscaping tasks and answer the question with which building materials and materials functional outdoor spaces can be designed: How can surfaces, pavement coverings, walls be designed and built? How to do sustainable, climate-adapted construction solutions work?
The topics are worked out in small groups and in mutual exchange. The course is a supplementary lecture in the module Open Space and Landscape.
Urban open spaces are currently undergoing radical change: new traffic concepts and changing demands in public open spaces call for continuous transformations or radical redesigns. A clearly perceptible awareness among the population and among decision-makers for ecologically oriented design solutions public Open spaces offers room for new design concepts and demands multidisciplinary planning teams.
Everyone is talking about smart cities - the city of the future is trying to solve the “top problems by means of technical innovation” (see Garten + Landschaft, 01/2018).
The topics of "surface infiltration" and "rainwater management" play an important role in the Smart City Diskussion.
