Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand and present the complex relationships between territory, spatial development, settlement structures, building and open space types, etc. at multiple scales and to address them analytically as well as design-wise.

Subject of course

In this course we study the morphology and transformation processes of settlements in rural areas, with special emphasis on sites, railroad facilities and topography at the Franz-Josefs-Bahn in the Waldviertel.
