After successful completion of the course, students are able to
analyse the development dynamics in the core cities and the cross-border region and design an inner city development concept with regional embedding.
... apply relevant regulations in context, taking into account urban design, social, ecological and traffic usage requirements, and develop urban design drafts in interdisciplinary teams and prepare them graphically in a clear manner and argue them rhetorically.
The integrated spatial inner city development concepts in the Southern Alps region create a concrete, long-term development perspective for the four inner cities (Bruneck, Hermagor, Lienz, Spittal/Drau). The inner city development concepts are regionally embedded in order to include cross-border spatial development in the project region.
The planning teams are interdisciplinary, which is why the course in the Master's degree programme in Spatial Planning and Architecture is offered as a project or major design. The teams have different focal points, which are discussed and developed together with the teachers and experts along various themes.
