After successful completion of the course, students are able to identify and interpret the interrelationships of stakeholders and their interests in the context of urban development. They have the competence to recognise fields of action of social systems and to draw and present analytical conclusions for future urban development interventions.
In this context, planning is discussed as a social process. The students develop an understanding of the stakeholders and relationship between politics, administration, experts, media and civil society. Appropriate tools for the analysis of social processes are taught.This creates an overview of forms of intervention in social systems; exemplary tools for their analysis and control are applied.
